Breathing in Confinement – Hassan Tafah, a political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, was sent to Medical leave.

According to the report of “Breathing in Confinement”, the 86-year-old prisoner, who suffers from leukemia, was sent to medical leave from Hall 12 of ward 4 in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj on 28th December.

In this regard, an informed source told “Breathing in Confinement’s” reporter: “Prosecutor demanded his release considering his age and illness but, it has met with judge Salvati’s rejection and he was sent to medical leave.”

Hassan Tafah, with a doctorate in law, is a member of the Arab Lawyers Union and supervisor member of International Court of Justice. In 2008 he was arrested and charged with acting against national security and propaganda against the regime and waging war against the God, by Tehran Revolutionary Court and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
