At Least 2 Activists Arrested in May Day Demonstration in Tehran

Breathing in Confinement – At least two students and labor activists were arrested in May Day protests in Tehran.

According to the report of “Breathing in a Confinement”, in the May Day demonstration in Taleghani Avenue in Tehran, Hossein Azargashsb, children’s rights activist and labor activist, and Reza Hajian, student activist were arrested by security forces and were transferred to Evin prison.

Reza Hajian is a student activist and social sciences graduate student of Tehran University.

Hossein Azargashab, had earlier in the demonstration to support Kobani in front of the UN office in Tehran been detained and released after a short time.
