Farhad Sheikhi put on trial in Tehran

Breathing in Confinement – Farhad Sheikhi was put on trial in Tehran.

According to a report obtained by Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran (PRLI), Farhad Sheikhi was put on trial on charge of disturbing the public order in branch 1058 of criminal court of Tehran on Sunday 4 August 2019.

He appeared in the court with his lawyer, Kaveh Pournazmi.

He was charged because of taking part in a protest on May Day in Tehran and his sentence will be issued in the coming days.

Farhad Sheikhi was arrested on the May Day in Tehran and transferred to Fashafouyeh prison of Tehran and released on two bail of 3.5 billion and 500 million IRR after 33 days of detention.
