Breathing in Confinement – A provisional arrest warrant has been reportedly issued for Soha Mortezaei, a so-called “starred student” at the University of Tehran.

According to VOA news agency, on Wednesday, November 27, Mustafa Nili, Soha’s lawyer, wrote on his Twitter page: “I went to Muqddas Court yesterday, to find out about Soha Mortazai’s condition. Her case is at Branch 3 of Interrogation Center and a provisional arrest warrant has been issued for her. ” The lawyer said that he wasn’t permitted to enter the branch or to present his power of attorney.

Concomitant with the protest demonstrations, Soha Mortazai was arrested in a student dormitory on November 18, and was taken to an unknown location.

Soha Mortezaei, a student deprived of education, and the former secretary of the Central Student Council of Tehran University, in protest against being starred and banned from education, had been on a sit-in for more than 10 days in front of the Central Library of Tehran University.

She was previously arrested during the protests in January 2017 and was sentenced to six years in prison as well as two years ban on membership in political parties and groups.
