Breathing in Confinement – After 22 years in Bandar Abbas prison, a prisoner, convicted of murdering his colleague was released from execution with the consent of the victim’s relatives.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, quoting Hormozgan’s chief justice, after 22 years in Bandar Abbas Central Prison, the longest-serving inmate of this prison was pardoned by the victim’s family and released from the jail.

According to Salehi, during a scuffle, the prisoner had stabbed his colleague to death. He then was arrested, tried and finally sentenced to death.
