Breathing in Confinement: A prisoner, previously sentenced to death for murder, was executed in Gonbad-e Kavous Prison.
According to Fars News Agency, on Tuesday morning, May 5, 2020, a prisoner who was arrested in Ahvaz for killing a 4-year-old child was executed in Gonbad-e-Kavous Prison.
So far the prisoner has remained unidentified and there is no information on his trial process.
According to the Census Center of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at least 274 executions were carried out in the country in 2019.
