According to Khorasan newspaper, published on June 2, a death sentence was carried out in Mashhad Central Prison, on a 34-year-old man, who was arrested eight years ago on charges of murdering his cousin.
According to the report, the prisoner was accused of killing his 27-year-old cousin in a mass brawl. He was later sentenced to death, and his sentence was upheld by Branch 29 of the Supreme Court. And after 8 years in prison, despite being pardoned by some of the “blood owners” (the immediate family members of the victim), he was executed.
