Execution of two prisoners in Isfahan prison

Breathing in Confinement: Two Baluch citizens who had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on drug charges were executed in Isfahan Prison on Saturday, July 11, 2020.

According to Baluch Activists Campaign, on Saturday, July 11, 2020, two Baluch citizens, Abdul Aziz Shahbakhsh, son of Alam Khan (Siakhan) from Sarjangal in Zahedan, and Abdullah Ghanbarzehi, from Zahedan, were executed in Isfahan Prison.

Abdul Aziz and Abdullah who had been arrested separately on drug charges were executed on the morning of July 11, 2020.

Abdullah was being held in Isfahan prison for three years.

After Abdul Aziz was executed, the officials of Isfahan prison, informed his family that the body would be delivered to them on Tuesday, July 14th.

According to the Statistics Center of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, the Islamic Republic has executed 114 people in the first six months of the year 2020.
