A Baloch widow who had slept with a stranger in exchange for drinking water for her children, ended her life

Breathing in confinement: A widow who had prostituted herself for providing drinking water for her children, took her own life by suicide.

According to the Baloch Activists Campaign, quoting Moinuddin Saeedi, a member of parliament from Chabahar, a widow who had slept with a stranger in exchange for drinking water for her children, killed herself.

 

Moinuddin Saeedi said: “A widow who had higher dignity than I, Mr. Ardakanian and Mr. president, to provide drinking water for her children, found no choice but to sleep with a stranger and then took her own life.”

 

It needs to be mentioned that since the beginning of this year, to supply drinking water, more than 30 Baluch children and women have drowned to death in rivers, dams, and rainwater storage pits.
