Three prisoners in Golestan, Kermanshah and Hormozgan saved from execution

Breathing in Confinement, January 24, 2021: Three prisoners, under execution for murder in Golestan, Kermanshah and Hormozgan prisons, saved from the noose with the consent of victim’s families.

 

 

According to the IRNA news agency, a 22-year-old man who three years ago was sentenced to death for the murder of his cousin in Gonbad-e Kavous, was saved from the death penalty by the consent of his uncle.

 

In another report, IRNA wrote that after six years under execution in Kermanshah Prison, being pardoned by the victim’s family, an inmate was saved from the gallows.

Also, in the City of Minab in Hormozgan, a prisoner who had been on death row since 2012, returned to life with the consent of blood owners.
