To serve his sentence, Hossein Jandaghian arrested and transferred to Evin Prison

Breathing in Confinement, February 9, 2021: On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, after appearing in Evin’s Sentence Implementation Unit, Hossein Jandaghian, a student activist was arrested and transferred to Evin Prison to serve his six-month sentence.

 

According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Hossein Jandaghian was transferred to Evin Prison on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, to serve his sentence.

 

Hossein Jandaghian, a student at Khajeh Nasir University in Tehran, had previously been arrested on September 14, 2015 by IRGC intelligence agents and transferred to Ward 2A of Evin Prison. After 22 days temporarily released on bail of 100 million Tomans awaiting the court’s decision.

 

 

 

On April 15, 2017, this student activist was tried by Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran, headed by Judge Mohammad Moghiseh, and was sentenced to one year in prison on charge of “propaganda activities against the regime.”

 

The sentence however, was reduced to six months by Branch 54 of the Tehran Court of Appeals, presided over by Judge Babaei as well as Judge Zanjani as an advisor
