Breathing in Confinement: On Saturday, January 8, 2022, the civil activist, Yashar Tabrizi, was arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location for lighting a candle in Shahedshahr, the site of the Ukrainian plane crash.

 

According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on the second anniversary of the downing of a Ukrainian civilian cargo plane by IRGC missiles, Yashar Tabrizi, a civil activist who lit a candle in memory of the victims at the crash site, was arrested by security agents on Saturday morning, January 8.

 

In a video released on Saturday, he announced that along with the families of the victims, he would light a candle in Shahedshahr, in memory of the 176 passengers of the Ukrainian plane, which was shot down by the IRGC, and also to demand that the perpetrators of the massacre be brought to justice.

 

After his arrest, Yashar Tabrizi was transferred to an unknown location.

 

Yashar Tabrizi had previously also been arrested and imprisoned.
