Tomaj Salehi receives sentence of imprisonment as well as paying a fine

Breathless: Protest rapper Tomaj Salehi was sentenced to imprisonment and fined by the Shahin Shahr Revolutionary Court. The sentence has been suspended for one year.

 

According to Breathing in Confinement the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Tomaj Salehi, a protest rapper, was sentenced to imprisonment as well as paying a fine by the Shahin Shahr Revolutionary Court.

 

According to the verdict recently issued and notified to him by the Shahin Shahr Revolutionary Court, Mr. Salehi has been sentenced to six months in prison and to pay a fine for “insulting the Supreme Leader and propaganda against the regime.” The sentence has been suspended for one year.

 

Mr. Salehi was arrested by security forces at his home on September 12, 2021, and was released on bail from Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan on September 21.
