Nationwide uprising; Court hearing on the chaarges against Tomaj Salehi

Breathing in Confinement: On Sunday, May 7, 2023, the court hearing session on the charges against Tomaj Salehi, a protest rapper, was held as a video conference at the Isfahan courthouse.

According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, the hearing session on the charges against Tomaj Salehi was held on Sunday, May 7.

Amir Raisian, Tomaj Salehi’ lawyer, wrote in this regard: The court session on the charges against Tomaj Salehi  was held in the Isfahan Prosecutor’s Office this morning. Tomaj participated the session through video conference and answered the questions of the case investigator in the presence of lawyers.

Previously, Mr Salehi’s case was returned from the court to the prosecutor’s office due to flawed investigation.

In late October 2022, Tomaj Salehi was arrested by the security forces in connection with the nationwide uprising

Tomaj Salehi is a protest rapper from Shahin Shahr in Isfahan, who had previously also been sentenced to 6 months in prison and fined for “insulting the Supreme Leader and propagandizing against the regime” in 2022.
