Breathing in Confinement: On Sunday, July 2, Milad Arsanjani, a former political prisoner, was again arrested by the security forces and taken to an unknown location.

This political prisoner was one of the detainees of the nationwide protests in 2022.

According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Milad Arsanjani was arrested by the security forces in the morning on Sunday, July 2, 2023, and taken to an unknown location.

As per a source close to Milad Arsanjani’s family, the security forces raided Mr. Arsanjani’s house, arrested him and took him to an unknown place. So far, there is no information about the reasons for his arrest.

Milad Arsanjani was previously arrested in September 2022, during the nationwide protests, and after being transferred to Evin prison, he was sent to Shapur Police Station on January 9, 2023. He was then returned to Evin prison on January 12.

Mr. Arsanjani was finally released from Evin prison following after the issuance of a circular for pardoning some of the prisoners.
