Breathing in a Confinement: In the early hours of Thursday, November 2, the death sentences of at least four prisoners in Isfahan Prison were carried out.
According to ‘Breathing in a Confinement,’ the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on the morning of Thursday, November 2, 2023, at least four prisoners in Isfahan Prison were executed.
One of these prisoners, identified as Ibrahim Naroui, 42, son of Mohammad Alam, from Sistan and Baluchestan Province and living in Golestan Province.
Mr. Naroui had been detained in 2019 in Naein County on drug related charges and was sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court of that city. On Thursday, November 1, he was transferred from the general ward of Isfahan Prison to one of the solitary cells in this prison.
According to the report, three other prisoners were residents of Tehran, Rasht, and Isfahan.
According to Statistics Centre pf the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, in the past year, Iranian authorities have executed at least 730 prisoners in various prisons.
