Ghezelhessar Prison; At least 10 prisoners transferred to solitary confinement for execution

Breathing in a Confinement: On Tuesday, November 7, at least 10 prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement  at Ghezelhessar Prison for execution.

According to “Breathing in a Confinement,” the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at least 10 prisoners were transferred to solitary cells for the execution of their death sentences.

These ten prisoners have been sentenced to death or retaliation for various charges, such as drug related charges,” “murder,” or “waging war against God through armed robbery.”

The Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran calls on the United Nations and all human rights authorities to intervene and save the lives of these prisoners. The recent substantial rise in executions serves as a warning against the international community’s silence and lack of action in response to the criminal acts of the authorities in the Islamic Republic in killing the prisoners.
