Breathing in Confinement: Sajjad Imannejad, one of the detainees of the nationwide uprising in 2022, has been sentenced to eleven years in prison as well as paying more than two billion seven hundred million tomans in ransom.

According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Sajjad Imannejad, one of the detainees of the nationwide uprising in 2022, has been sentenced to eleven years in prison on charges of “waging war against God” and “inflicting injuries with a cold weapon.” He is also sentenced to exile in Iranshahr and ordered to pay over two billion and seven hundred million Tomans in ransom to seven government agents.

Sajjad Imannejad, born in 1991, was arrested in October of last year during the protests in Tehran and has been detained since, initially in Tehran Central Prison and later in Evin Prison.
