Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Saturday, November 9, at least one prisoner who had been sentenced to death on drug-related charges was executed at Lakan Prison in Rasht.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at least one prisoner was executed at dawn on Saturday, November 9, 2024, on drug-related charges at Rasht Prison. The identity of the prisoner, Kianoush Keyfari, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.
According to the Breathing in Confinement reporter, Kianoush Keyfari, a 49-year-old from Anzali, was arrested in 2020 on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. He was hanged at dawn on Saturday, November 9, in the courtyard of Lakan Prison in Rasht.
