Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Saturday, November 23, 2024, the execution of at least one prisoner convicted of “murder” was carried out in Jiroft Prison.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the League for Human Rights of Iranian Prisoners, at least one prisoner convicted of “murder” was executed at dawn on Saturday, November 23, in Jiroft Prison. The identity of this prisoner, Nader Ghanizadeh, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.

As per the Breathing in Confinement reporter, Nader Ghanizadeh, a resident of Anbarabad, had previously been arrested on charges of “murder” during a conflict and was sentenced to death. He was hanged at dawn on Saturday, November 23, in the courtyard of Jiroft Prison.

Annual Report on Executions in Iran
