According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was executed at dawn on Monday, December 23, in Urmia Prison on drug related charges. The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement as Loqman Shengeh.
As reported by Breathing in Confinement, Loqman Shengeh, son of Habib and a resident of Naqadeh, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death for “drug-related charges.” The sentence was carried out at dawn on Monday, December 23, in Urmia Prison.
