Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Thursday, January 16, the execution of at least one prisoner, who had been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of “murder,” was carried out in Sanandaj Prison.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner identified as Sivan Yaghoubi was executed early Thursday morning, January 16, in Sanandaj Prison for the charge of “murder.”

As per the Breathing in Confinement reporter, Sivan Yaghoubi, a resident of Bisaran village in the Sarvabad district, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death for the charge of “murder.” The sentence was carried out at dawn on Thursday, January 16, in Sanandaj Prison.
