Breathing in Confinement – At dawn on Sunday, 25 May 2025, the death sentence of at least one prisoner was carried out at Kahnuj Prison. The individual had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of “murder.”

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner named Mahmoud Shirvani was executed at Kahnuj Prison early Sunday morning. His identity has been verified by the organisation.

According to the report, Mahmoud Shirvani, a resident of Kahnuj, had been arrested and sentenced to death for “murder.” The sentence was carried out in the early hours of Sunday.
