Breathing in Confinement – The execution of at least one prisoner previously arrested and sentenced to death on charges of “murder” was carried out in Nowshahr Prison.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was hanged at dawn on Tuesday, 2 December 2025, in Nowshahr Prison. The identity of the executed prisoner, Ebrahim Kalagar, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.

Ebrahim Kalagar had previously been arrested on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death. His sentence was carried out at dawn on Tuesday, 2 December 2025, in Nowshahr Prison.

Annual Report on Executions in Iran
