Prisoner Executed in Mashhad Prison

Breathing in Confinement, Wednesday, 22 July 2026: The death sentence of at least one prisoner who had previously been arrested on a murder charge and sentenced to death was carried out in Mashhad Prison.

According to reporters from Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was hanged in Mashhad Prison at dawn on Wednesday, 22 July. The prisoner has been identified by Breathing in Confinement as Ali Morshed.

According to the report, Ali Morshed had previously been arrested on a murder charge and subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary. His death sentence was carried out in Mashhad Prison in the early hours of Wednesday, 22 July 2026.
