Political Prisoner Saeed Lashni Violently Arrested by Intelligence Agents in Dorud

Breathing in Confinement, Saturday, 25 July 2026: Saeed Lashni, a civil rights activist, was arrested on Saturday morning by officers from the Intelligence Department of Dorud and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Nasrollah Lashni, Saeed’s brother, wrote on his X account: “On the morning of Saturday, 25 July, officers from the Intelligence Department of Dorud County in Lorestan Province violently arrested my brother, Saeed Lashni, subjecting him to severe physical assault. The beating was so intense that, after taking him to the detention centre, they were forced to call an ambulance to provide him with urgent medical treatment.”
According to the report, Saeed Lashni was arrested without the presentation of a judicial warrant. At the time of publication, no information had been made available regarding the charges against him or his whereabouts.
Saeed Lashni has previously served six years in prison in various facilities in Iran because of his political activities.
