Breathing in Confinement, December 20, 2020: Security forces shot dead a Baloch citizen in Iranshahr.
According to the Baloch Activists Campaign, on the evening of Thursday, December 17, 2020, security agents shot dead a Baloch citizen named “Afshin Abedian” from the town of Baft in Iranshahr.
According to the report, Afshin, on his way back from a wedding ceremony, was shot dead by the security agents. The security officials told his family that they would hand over Afshin’s body to them on condition that they do not search for the cause of him being killed. Security agents, showing their weapons to Afshin’s father, threatened him not spread any information about what happened.
As per the report, forensic medicine has announced that Afshin had been shot from a distance of 1-1.5 meter.
