A death sentence is issued in Tehran

Breathing in Confinement: Branch 7 of Tehran Criminal Court, sentenced a man to death for murder.

According to Aftab News, the defendant who had previously been tried on charges of “murder” was sentenced to death.

According to this report, on December 27, 2019, during a family dispute in the County of Chahardangeh, Payam 37, killed his ex-wife.

“Mitra and I got married a few years back and had two daughters,” the defendant said. He continued: “Having had debates on every issue, we were constantly arguing and eventually we decided to divorce. I took custody of the children and Mitra would come to my house to see them.”

Following the defendant’s statement, the interrogator found him guilty and indicted him for premeditated murder.

The defendant stood trial in Tehran Criminal Court at Branch 7, while both of his daughters demanded a death sentence for him. Afterward, the Judges discussed the case and finally sentenced the defendant to death.
