After 23 years in jail, a foreign inmate is released from prison in Hormozgan

Breathing in Confinement: A prisoner from Afghanistan, sentenced to death in 1997 for killing his compatriot friend, was released from execution.

The prisoner was sentenced to death in 1997 for murdering his compatriot. But according to Article 356 of the Islamic Penal Code, as the judiciary couldn’t find the blood owners, the murderer was released from prison after 23 years of being under the death sentence.
