FATA police chief in Semnan described the reason for arrest as “insulting the authorities”.
According to Mehr News Agency, on Thursday, February 13, Semnan FATA Police Chief Hossein Sadeghi announced the arrest of the administrator of a telegram channel in the city.
He claimed that the telegram channel had 800 members. He continued “After analyzing the data and documents, the channel’s admin was identified, arrested and along with the criminal digital evidence referred to relevant law enforcement authorities.”
He also pointed out that the defendant would be prosecuted because of “insulting the authorities on a telegram channel.”
