Breathing in Confinement: On Wednesday, September 8th, Baktash Abtin, a member of the Iranian Writers’ Association, was sent on a five-day leave  from Evin Prison.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners ‘Rights League in Iran, on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, Baktash Abtin, a member of the Iranian Writers’ Association, was sent on leave from Evin Prison.

Mr. Abtin, has been serving his five-year sentence in Evin Prison for nearly a year. Despite his illness and despite Covid-19 outbreak, he has so far been denied leave.

Baktash Abtin, along with two other members of the Iranian Writers’ Association, Reza Khandan (Mahabadi) and Keyvan Bazhen, have been detained in Evin Prison since October 2020.
