Christian prisoners under pressure at Central Prison of Karaj

Breathing in Confinement August 3, 2014

Breathing in Confinement – The imprisoned Christians are under extra pressure in Central Prison of Karaj.

According to the report of “Breathing in Confinement”, Behnam Irani, Hossein Saketi (Stefan), Reza Rabbani (Silas) and Abdolreza Ali Haghnejad (Mathias) are the 4 imprisoned Christians at the Central Prison of Karaj.

According to informed sources the authorities have taken them to separate sections in order to put more pressure on them.

Abdolreza Ali Haghnejad was transferred to this prison last week but he has been taken to section 10 instead of section 7 where all other Christians are imprisoned.

Reza Rabbani has also been transferred from section 7 to section 8 on August 2nd.

The authorities want the Christian prisoners to have the least possible contact with each other as it was written in the Behnam Irani’s sentence that “he must be taken away from other prisoners.”
