Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Wednesday, 6 November 2024, the execution of a prisoner charged with “murder” was carried out in Adelabad Prison, Shiraz.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at least one prisoner was executed at dawn on Wednesday, 6 November, in Adelabad Prison on murder charges. The prisoner, identified as Hossein Heydari (also known as Yasin), was previously arrested and sentenced to death on murder charges. Heydari was 20 years old and from Shiraz. Investigations are ongoing to determine if he was a juvenile at the time of the crime. Hossein Heydari was hanged at dawn on Wednesday, 6 November, in Adelabad Prison, Shiraz.
