Breathing in Confinement: On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, five prisoners were executed in Rajaeeshahr prison on charges of murder.
According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Wednesday, December 14, five prisoners, sentenced to death for murder, were hanged in Rajaeeshahr prison in Karaj.
Breathing in Confinement is trying to identify these executed prisoners.
As per the annual report of the statistics center of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, over the last one year (October 10, 2021-October 10, 2022), at least 537 prisoners have been executed in various prisons in Iran of whom only 9% were officially announced and 91% were executed in secret.
