Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, the death sentence of at least one prisoner, who had been arrested and sentenced to execution on charges of murder, was carried out in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd Prison).

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, early on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, a prisoner convicted of murder was executed in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan. The identity of this prisoner has been confirmed as Rasoul Ashour.

As per the Breathing in Confinement’s reporter, Rasoul Ashour, son of Gholamreza, a resident of Afjed, Klishad city, in the Falavarjan region, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on murder charges. The issued sentence was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, February 19, in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan.
