Breathing in Confinement – At dawn on Sunday, February 16, 2025, the execution of at least one prisoner who had been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of “murder” was carried out in Tabriz Prison.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was executed in Tabriz Prison at dawn on Sunday, February 16, 2025, on charges of “murder.” The identity of this prisoner has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement as Bahram Almasi Chaykandi.

According to information obtained by Breathing in Confinement, Bahram Almasi, a 40-year-old man and father of two, had been arrested 10 years ago on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death. The issued sentence was carried out at dawn on Sunday, February 16, in Tabriz Prison.
