Breathing in Confinement: The death sentence of a prisoner, previously arrested and sentenced to death on charges of “murder”, has been carried out in Sanandaj Prison.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, in the early hours of Monday, 25 May 2026, a prisoner was hanged in Sanandaj Prison. The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement as Farhang Sheikhleh.

According to the report, Farhang Sheikhleh had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of murdering a law enforcement officer. The sentence was carried out in the early hours of Monday, 25 May 2026, in Sanandaj Prison.
