Breathing in Confinement – In the early hours of Monday, 28 April 2025, the execution of a prisoner who had been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of “murder” was carried out at the Central Prison of Ahvaz.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, in the early hours of Monday, 28 April 2025, a prisoner was hanged in Sepidar Prison, Ahvaz. The identity of the prisoner, Abolfazl Kianpour, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.

According to the report, Abolfazl Kianpour, a Bakhtiari citizen from Masjed Soleyman, had previously been arrested on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Monday, 28 April 2025, in Sepidar Prison, Ahvaz.
