Breathing in Confinement – At dawn on Thursday, 1 May 2025, the death sentence of a prisoner convicted of “murder” was carried out at Parsiloun Prison in Khorramabad.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was executed at the central prison in Khorramabad in the early hours of Thursday, 1 May 2025. The identity of the prisoner — Hossein Shiravand — has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.

According to the report, Hossein Shiravand, son of Seyed Hadi, 28 years old, a resident of Khorramabad, was arrested two years ago on charges of “murder” and was sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Thursday, 1 May 2025, at Parsiloun Prison in Khorramabad.

Annual Report on Executions in Iran
