Breathing in Confinement: Two female prisoners sentenced to death for drug-related crimes were executed on Thursday, December 8, 2022, in Semnan Central Prison.
According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, two female prisoners, accused of drug-related crimes, were executed on Thursday, December 8, 2022, in Semnan Central Prison.
“Breathing in Confinement” is trying to identify the two executed prisoners.
According to the annual report of the Statistics Center of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, in the last one year (October 10, 2021-October 10, 2022), at least 537 prisoners were executed in various Iranian prisons. Only 9% of the executions were officially announced and 91% of them were executed in secret.
