Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Thursday, July 21, 2022, two prisoners sentenced to death in separate cases were executed in Yazd prison on charges of “murder” and “drug-related crimes”.
According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran,, two prisoners were executed in Yazd prison in the morning of Thursday, July 21, 2022.
The executed prisoners have been identified as Amir Ojaghi accused of drug related crimes, and Robab Danaei, from Yazd accused of murder.
Amir Ojaghi, the truck driver, had been in prison since 2016.
According to the report, due to severe mental and emotional stress, Robab Danai had fainted before the execution, but her death sentence was carried out nonetheless.
