Breathing in Confinement: Leila Mirghafari, a civil activist who was arrested in front of Kasra Hospital during protests against the suspicious death of Mahsa Amini , was released on bail. She had been arrested on September 16, in front of Kasra hospital following being beaten by police forces.

According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Sunday, September 19, 2022, Leila Mirghafari was temporarily released on bail awaiting the court’s decision.

Ms. Mirghafari has reportedly been accused of “conspiring and colluding against the regime” for participating in a rally to protest the suspicious death of Mahsa Amini.

On Friday, September 16, following the death of Mahsa Amini, Leila Mirghafari was arrested in front of Kasra Hospital and taken to Tehran Security Police Station. Ms. Mir Ghafari was reportedly been beaten during her arrest and her cell phone, which was seized by the police agents, has not been returned to her.
