Nationwide uprising; A court hearing was held on the charges against Armita Abbasi

Breathing in Confinement: On Sunday, January 29, 2023, the hearing on the charges against Armita Abbasi, one of the detainees of the nationwide uprising, was held in Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Karaj.

According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Saturday, January 29, 2023, the court hearing on the charges against Armita Abbasi was held.

In this session held in branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Karaj, Miss. Abbasi along with her lawyer, Shahla Oroji, presented her defence.

So far, there has been no information about the charges against Miss. Abbasi.

At the end of September 2022, Armita Abbasi was arrested by the security forces in Karaj in connection with the nationwide uprising. She then was transferred to Kachuei prison in Karaj.
