Breathing in Confinement – On Thursday, October 31, a death penalty was carried out in public in Khomein county.
According to IRNA, a prisoner convicted of murdering a police officer during a robbery was hanged in public in Khomein. The prisoner’s identity has yet to be released by the state news agencies.
It needs to be said that, according to the Statistics Center of Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, over the last one year (October 2018- October 2019) at least 280 prisoners have been executed. Out of them, only 75 were officially announced by the government.
