Several young laborers die in the fish powder factory in the County of Souza in Qeshm Island

Breathing in Confinement: Four workers of Souza Fish Powder Company in Qeshm, died in a tragic event.

According to the IRNA news agency, quoting Dr. Hossein Ghasemi, head of the Emergency Center in Hormozgan Province, the 115 Qeshm Emergency Service Team, after arriving at the scene, encountered a 20-year-old worker, with a GCS score of 6, who as a result of a reduced level of consciousness, following inhalation of gases emitted from fermented fish wastes, had a fall and was injured. Two other workers, who had fallen into the fish waste pond after losing their consciousness, were also found dead.

Ghasemi added: After further investigation, it was turned out that two of the factory workers were missing. And finally, after the pond was re-explored, the bodies of the two workers were found.
