Breathing in Confinement: Siavash Emami from Amol was arrested by security forces at his workplace in the City of Noor on Tuesday, May 31, and taken to an unknown location.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Siavash Emami was arrested by security forces at his workplace in Noor.

He had been arrested by the agents of the Intelligence Office in Noor on June 15, 2021. And on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, after completing his interrogations and presenting his last defense in the first branch of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Amol, he was temporarily released on bail awaiting the court’s decision.

Finally, on July 24, 2021, he was sentenced by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Amol, headed by Judge Morteza Mahdavi, to 3 months and 1 day in prison on charges of “propaganda against the regime.” Mr. Emami’s trial had been held on July 6 in the same branch.
