Breathing in Confinement, January 21, 2021: Two prisoners, in Hamedan and Karaj, sentenced to death for murder, were saved from death penalty with the consent of victim’s families.
According to Rokna news agency, the prisoner in Hamedan, who five years ago was sentenced to death for murder, retuned to life after obtaining the consent of victim’s family by paying blood money.
The other prisoner, a young man named A.F., who had been under execution for five years for killing his friend, being pardoned by the victim’s family, escaped from the gallows.
