Breathing in Confinement – On Wednesday, December 4, two prisoners accused of murder were executed in Urmia Prison. A day before the execution, they had been transferred to solitary confinement cells.
According to the HRANA News Agency, at dawn of Wednesday, December 4, two inmates were executed at Urmia Prison.
HRANA has verified the identities of the executed prisoners as Morteza Ashrafi and Ali Mahmoodpour who were being kept at general wards 1-2 of Urmia Prison.
They had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of murder.
These executions have so far not been announced by the relevant authorities.
