The trial of 2 Azerbaijani activists in Tabriz postponed

Breathing in Confinement – The trial of Taha Kermani and Hossein Alimohammadi, Azerbaijani civil activists has been postponed.

According to the report of “Breathing in Confinement”, the two activists were supposed to be tried at branch 104 of Tabriz General Court on August 6th, but since the prosecutor was not present in the court, the trial was postponed.

The 2 activists are charged with burning public properties and insulting Islam.

They have been already sentenced to 36 months in prison by branch 3 of the revolutionary court of Tabriz.

The trial in Branch number 3 of the Revolutionary Court had been also postponed once.

Hossein Alimohammadi and Taha Kermani had been arrested by the security forces on November 4, 2013 and were released on the bail on April 15, 2014.
