According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, in the early hours of Tuesday, December 24, a prisoner was executed in Adelabad Prison, Shiraz, on charges related to “drug offenses.” The identity of the prisoner, Amin Farahmand, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.
Based on information obtained by the Breathing in Confinement reporter, Amin Farahmand had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on charges related to “drug offenses.” The sentence was carried out at dawn on Tuesday, December 24, in Shiraz Central Prison.
